Flying Dog – In-heat Wheat Hefeweizen

GS6A2085

Flying Dog brewery was founded in 1990 by George Stranahan in Aspen, Colorado, USA. It started out as a BrewPub, late it became a fully-fledged Denver brewery. The artwork on the labels are done by Ralph Steadman, the same artist that illustrated various books by Hunter S. Thompson.

I bought this unfiltered beer in a local supermarket in Lillestrøm, Norway at the price of 3,5 Euro for a 355 ml bottle at 4,7%

A good yellow unfiltered look with a bit of orange glow to it.

Head is quickly gone and stays as a covering layer of fine bubbles.

Aroma is very faint with a hint of fruit.

The CO2 reacts fast when drinking it, a flat feeling with the very anonymous fruit that have some watery thinness over it, after taste is okay.

Overall rating 74 / 100
