Maisel’s Weisse Dunkles Hefe-weissbier

GS6A8242

The Maisel brewery was founded in 1887 by Hans und Eberhardt Maisel as a family business. The brewery is located in Bayreuth, Oberfranken, near Nürnberg in Germany. Today it is the fourth generation of the family, Jeff Maisel that runs the brewery.

I bought this beer at the Salling store in Aarhus, Denmark at the price of 3,5 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 5,2%.

A deep brown colour.

Small head that disappears in a hurry.

Sweet fruit aroma, but a little too thin, watery and light.

Powerful CO2, sweet fruit, darkness and generally delicious composition, continues with the same flavors in the after taste.

Overall rating 77 / 100

A beautiful and deep orange colour.

A gigantic head of fine bubbles with even finer bubbles on top.

A light fruit in the aroma.

Good sweet fruit taste and the wheat just keeps going in the after taste.

Omnipollo – 42

GS6A8218

The brewery Omnipollo was founded in 2010 by Henok Fentie and Karl Grandin in Stockholm, Sweden.

I bought this beer at the Salling store in Aarhus, Denmark at the price of 6,7 Euro for a 330 ml bottle at 4,5%.

Light yellow and almost white in the colour.

Medium sized head with a rough top.

Citrus and hoppy aroma with a powerful mango to it, pleasant though.

Good CO2, sourish fruit, a dry fruit and flowers in the after taste.
