GS6A8888

The Weltenburger monastary is founded around year 617 on the southern banks of the Danube river in Bayern, Germany. The brewery was built in 1050 which makes it the 2nd oldest brewery in the world. This day today there is 14 monks living at the Weltenburger monastary.

I bought this unfiltered weissbeer from a German webshop at the price of 1,49 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 5,3%.

Deep brown colour with a thick and hazy look.

Medium sized head with a fine top.

Medium aroma with fresh darkness and sweet fruit.

Good CO2, good balance between the dark and the fruit. Long after taste with a sweet fruit.

Overall rating 82 / 100
