Pyraser Angerwirts Weizen

In 1649, right after the 30 year war in Europe, Hanns Bernreuther leaves Austria as a Protestant fugitive and settles down in Bayern where he starts a brewery. His son, 1674, and grandson, 1749, acquires a farm in Pyras with house called Angerwirts, names that still live on to this day and from where the wheat is supplied. The brewery have remained on family hands and is from 2010 managed by Marlies Bernreuther.

I bought this beer at a Bayern web shop at the price of 2,5 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 5,2%.

The colour is yellow going to orange and it is a unfiltered beer.

The head is very fine, white tiny bubbles, it disperses into a thin layer that stays.

A lovely aroma with a delicious sweet fruit to it.

Bubbly sensation from a balanced CO2, a good fruit taste with a long after taste. A very good good and balanced composition in the taste.

Overall rating 85 / 100
