Quinta do Pego Colheita Porto 2007

I tasted this 750 ml bottle at 20% at a family dinner. It has a estimated price in Denmark of 34 Euro.

This Quinta do Pego Colheita 2007 was bottled in 2016.

Deep orange red colour.

Light sweet fruits in the aroma with a dominating alcohol.

Soft tannin with a okay balance to the fruit. After taste has a good sweet raisin which the slowly fades out.

When first uncorked it is dominated by the alcohol and needs to breathe, no decanting, just needs to sit for half a day in bottle with level under the neck. That really works wonders on a colheita.

Memminger Brauerei – Alpköning Hefe-Weizen

Memminger Brauerei comes from Ulmer in Bayern, Germany and dates back to 1897. It has a long history of different owners, names, joint ventures and it ends up as a privately owned brewery in 2003.

I bought this beer from a German webshop at the price of 1,49 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 5,1%

Beautiful unfiltered beer that has a thick flow to its orange colour.

Grand big head with a fine white foam top.

Good sweet fruit aroma with hints of wheat.

Good CO2, sweet fruit, full bodied, great balance. If only it had a longer after taste.
