The brewery was founded in 1877 by Ludwig Markus Mack. Mack is the fourth largest brewery in Norway and is one of the top brands from Northern Norway.
In 2000 they expanded into the growing craft beer market by opening a experimental micro brewery to develop new and exiting beers and follow the trends.
I bought this Belgian inspired wit from Oslo Airport in Norway, the price was 4 Euro for a 330 ml bottle at 6,5%
Yellow, filtered, blank, like a pilsener. Not sure why they would filter a wit.
Good white head, fine foam that stays with a thick lid on the beer.
Light citrus notes in the aroma, comes off with faint with other notes.
Low CO2 when in the mouth, very sweet and maybe a tad too much, feels more than full-bodied from the high alcohol percentage. Good balance with the citrus and coriander. After taste is somewhat like candy, it should have been more like wit instead.
