Tucher brewery is located in Nürnberg, Germany. The brewery produced beer for the hospitals since 1643, but the official founding date for the brewery is 1672. In 1806 the brewery became a royal Bayern brewery as the King bought it. It was sold off to in 1855 to the Dr.-Lorenz-Tucher-Stiftung. It was renamed to Tucher in 1985 and is today since 2004 owned by the Oetker group.

I bought this beer at Vinmonopolet in Oslo, Norway, which explains the price of 4,5 Euro for a 330 ml bottle at 5,2%.

The colour is a regular yellow unfiltered beer.

The head is rather small and settles quickly into a very thin layer.

The aroma comes off with a sweet fruit to it that is very inviting.

Heavy CO2 with a quick fruit taste, it fades almost as fast as you can drink it, there is still a slight after taste, but more along the lines of yeast than fruit.

The Weltenburger monastary is founded around year 617 on the southern banks of the Danube river in Bayern, Germany. The brewery was built in 1050 which makes it the 2nd oldest brewery in the world. This day today there is 14 monks living at the Weltenburger monastary.

There is a lot of sediment in the bottle.

A big head the quickly disappears into a thin fine layer.

A yellow hazy look with a hint of orange glow.

The aroma comes off as a weak fruit.

The taste is a nice bubbly fresh fruit and the fruit continues for a long and pleasent after taste.

Coisbo beer took its start in 2007 in Morud in Denmark. Brewer Anders Coisbo rents in on different breweries to make his beers.

A beautiful yellow unfiltered beer fills the glass and have a inviting orange glowing look to it.

The head starts out big and the structure is very fine bubbles that stays with a thin layer.

A fantastic aroma that is fruitful and inviting.

Taste is a bit on the light side, sprinkling but the fruit fades too fast. The finish turns somewhat from the fruit to a little bitterness. A refreshing weissbier but I miss some more fruit to the taste and finish. The price is also too steep.

Georg I Schneider was the creator of the Schneider Weisse Original recipe, which is still used today. Two-hundred years ago, wheat beer could only be brewed by the Bavarian royal family in their breweries. In 1872, King Ludwig II discontinued brewing wheat beer due to a steady decline in sales.

Georg I Schneider was sold the exclusive right to brew wheat beer. Today, Georg VI Schneider is running the brewery in Kelheim, which the family acquired in 1927 and has remained the Schneider Weisse brewery to this day. It is the oldest wheat beer brewery in Bavaria. Wheat beer has been brewed there without interruption since its founding in the year 1607.

The unfiltered yellow beer fills the glass with a orange or even with red tones, but still it stay mostly with a dull yellow colour. There can be some heavy sediment that flows around in the beer.

The head starts out big and fades slowly, rough in the bottom and fine on the top, perfect!

The aroma gives off a balanced fruit and just gives a hint, not a dominating aroma.

Good fruit in the taste and with a suitable finish, fades slowly. With a little luck you will have the lovely fruit taste going through drinking the beer, between the sips. CO2 is bubbly and suits it well.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is located in Chico in California, USA. The brewery was founded in 1976 by Ken Grossman. 

Bought in a local wine and beer import store in Denmark. I payed 3,5 Euro for a 12 oz bottle at 4,8%. The price tag is what to expect from a over seas imported special beer.

A well known fruit aroma is also to find in this Weissbier.

Head is rough and quickly disappear with the beer releasing its CO2 in the glass, a very active beer.

Colour is a hazy yellow and it is lacking the glow of a Weissbier.

The taste is good, bubbly, fruit and the finish goes on for a little while.

For a weissbier brewed in America there is little distinction from a regular weissbier. It is fully justified to name it a Hefeweizen despite it being brewed outside of Bayern.

The House of Wittelsbach began the first brewery in 1260. 32 years later, Herzog Rudolf built the castle Kaltenberg, which houses a part of the brewery’s facilities today. The brewery as it exists today was opened in 1870. Prince Luitpold of the House of Wittelsbach, is the great-grandson of the last King of Bavaria, Ludwig III.

A good yellow colour with a unfiltered look with red notes.

The head starts out huge with a rough base and a very fine top.

A well fruited aroma with a hint of barley.

The taste is a little too anonymous fruit accompanied with a little too flat CO2. Enjoying the aroma of this I had expected much more from the taste. It is still a good beer.

The bottle cap with the Bayern weapon shield looks good and so does the yellow labels.

In 24th October 1651, three years after the 30-year war, the basis for this small private brewery was layed as the brwer Mathias Puecher acquired the rights to brew beer in Lauter, Bayern. Since 1889 they have been brewing Weissbier according to the German purity law.

Yellow to orange unfiltered look with a little glow to it.

Head starts out big and a layer of fine bubbles.

Aroma is a short weak fruit with some bitter to it.

Very dull CO2 is the first that hits me, the fruit to the taste is okay but the finish is watery. A weissbier that does not make much of itself or shows any character.

Orange unfiltered, without the glow.

Head is big, rough and fine on the top.

A good fruit, not too strong and somehow with a hint of green in it, as in green plants aroma.

The taste is accompanied with a good bubbly CO2 and the fruit is, by a word seldom used by me when talking beer taste, dominated by the sense of banana, so much that it would seem added to beer later. As it goes down the taste dulls out and become boring.
