This wheat beer comes from the Paulaner brewery located at Munich in the southern Bayern.

Paulaner have been making beer here since 1634, the brewery was established by the Minim friars of the Neudeck ob der Au cloister. The order and brewery are named after the founder of the order, Francis of Paola. The brewey have since the start changed hands four times and today is owned by a holding company where a venture company along with Heineken owns it.

I found this beer at a local supermarket in Denmark at the price of 1,75 Euros for a 500 ml can with a strength of 5%.

The colour have warm red tones leaving an impression of a deep warm glow, a beutiful wheat beer where thoughts are lead towards glowing embers.

The head structure is so fine that it can look like whipped cream, leaving a massive thick head on the beer, it looks, feels and taste good.

There is very little to none sediment on the bottom of the can and the beer just have this unfiltered look on its on, it could lack the joy of swirling the last bit of the bottle doing the pouring to get the sediment out.

A good fruity aroma tells me I am about to enjoy a good beer.

The taste is a fruitful one where the hint of yeast, giving the bitterness to counter the fruit flavour is good, the aroma is dominated by the yeast but when drinking the beer ones impression quickly changes to the positive side.

Paulaner is a wellknown, wellselling and good beer. Colour, head, aroma and taste are just what I look for, but the price is also steep!

This wheat beer comes from the private owned brewery located at Bamberg in the northern Bayern.

Kaiserdom have been making beer here since 1718, which for a Bayern brewery could be described as being one of the younger breweries.

I found this beer at a local supermarket in Denmark at the very reasonable price of 80 Euro cents for a 500 ml can with a strength of 4,7%.

The colour is spot on for what I expect from a wheat beer, a golden yellow resembling the colours from the wheat field on a sunny day.

The head structure is a little too rough and I miss the very fine tiny bubbles, but the head is long lasting and sets off the beer nicely.

There is very little to none sediment on the bottom of the can and the beer just have this unfiltered look on its on, it could lack the joy of swirling the last bit of the bottle doing the pouring to get the sediment out.

A good fruity aroma tells me I am about to enjoy a good beer.

The taste is a light fruitful one where I am missing a slight hint of yeast to add a bit of bitterness to counter the fruit flavour.

The price of the beer, the appearance as described above leaves me with the impression this is a good beer that I would buy again if I saw it on the shelf, maybe even ask for it where I come, a few minor flaws on most subjects makes for a good beer that you should certainly try out!
