Since 1119 the Benedictine monks brew beer in Scheyern. The monastery brewery is proven to be Germany’s third oldest brewery. But it has not been used for many decades but was reopened completely renewed in 2006.
I bought this beer in a small wine shop in Rieti, Italy at the price of 4,5 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 5,2%.
Shinning yellow with a good haziness.
A big head with a super fine top and a layer that stays on it.
A lovely and sweet fruit aroma.
Delicious taste and good CO2 that balances well. Good fruit with lasts well into a suitable length after taste.
