Franziskaner – Weissbier Alkoholfrei

GS6A9152

The Franziskaner brewery can be dated back to 1363 where it is described in texts as the brewery town at monastery near Munich, Germany. In 1841 a huge and completely  new brewery was build in Lilienberg, a town outside Munich. In 1922 the Spaten brewery fusioned with the Fraziskaner brewery and they became Spaten-Franziskaner-Leistbräu AG. In 2005 the brewery was bought by the large InBev cooperation.

I bought this unfiltered weissbeer from a German webshop at the price of 1,49 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 0,0%.

Beautiful orange colour.

The head is medium with a fine top, it disappears quickly.

The aroma is wheated and have porridge to it.

Good CO2, sweet wheat taste, light and watery to some degree, but still it maintains a balance in the taste.

Overall rating 72 / 100
