The breweries of Kaufbeuren, Germany dates back to the middle-age. ABK (Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren) was the most influential in 1799, where it was owned by the Walch family. It was introduced on the financial market as the first brewery in Bayern, in 1885.
I bought this beer from a German webshop at the price of 1,49 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 5,1%
Dark brown in the colour and slightly hazy.
Medium size head with a fine foam top that disperses after a moment.
Good wheat and fruit aroma.
Powerful CO2, fruit and darkness in the taste. After taste has some sweet notes that come forward. A little too thin.
