Rörhlbräu – Vilstaler Weisse

GS6A8907

The brewery tradition in Straubing, Germany is dated to 1431 where monks founded the Metten Monastery. The brewery used the cellar for beer storage since 1929 and in 2008 bought the family Sillner the Röhrlbräu brewery.

I bought this unfiltered weissbeer from a German webshop at the price of 1,49 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 5,1%.

Light yellow colour and only slightly hazy.

Small head with a fine top.

Sweet fruit in the aroma.

Good CO2, fresh hops and sweet fruit in the taste, the sweet fruit dominates the after taste.

Overall rating 74 / 100
