The breweries of Kaufbeuren, Germany dates back to the middle-age. ABK (Aktienbrauerei Kaufbeuren) was the most influential in 1799, where it was owned by the Walch family. It was introduced on the financial market as the first brewery in Bayern, in 1885.
I bought this weissbier from a German webshop in Bayern as a part of a large lot, single price came down to 1,49 Euro for a 500 ml bottle at 5,3%
Light orange to yellow in the colour and does not try to hide its a unfiltered beer.
Big head that is gone within a few tens of seconds.
Aroma comes off with a thin fruit and slightly metal notes.
Powerful CO2, sweet but light fruit and finishes with a short after taste.
